A Taste of Gullah is a full service events company based out of the Gullah Geechee Heritage Corridor area of James Island. A Taste of Gullah brings ethnic cultural events to the Charleston Regional area using authentic and traditional trades that have been passed down orally over centuries. Our goal is to create well rounded cultural experience. Our ancestors began the authentic Gullah Cuisine Events and Consultation company in the Lowcountry with experience and knowledge is over 300 plus years of their elders creating its uniqueness. The historical recipes have travelled the Diaspora from various locations from the Bahamas, West Caribbean Islands, the west coast and central African region, upper South American region and the East Coast Sea Islands. A Taste of Gullah catering company has been an private business for over hundreds of years with personal cooks and private dinners experience within the Gullah Geechee region.

Our Mission is to bring awareness, recognition, and preservation of the ever-growing Gullah Culture of the Sea Islands. A Taste of Gullah has a specialized focus on the Native Sea Island traditions and authenticity of the Gullah Geechee in cuisine, history, arts, and culture in the regions of the Gullah Diaspora.
