A 17th generation Sea Island descendant of the Indigenous Gullah Geechee Moors, located in the St. James Island Providence Town outside the City of Charleston in South Carolina, a city in the heart the Gullah Geechee Corridor. Giovanni Richardson is bursting with inherited knowledge of spiritual ideology, extensive culinary knowledge and food ways connection points, oral community interactions and untraced history, secret societal behaviors, educational diversity and linguistic of the Gullah Geechee and Sea Island Natives. She is poised to express herself through all aspects of the Gullah cultural arts in her lecture and reenactments. Giovanni Richardson one of the youngest inheritors of the oral history for the Gullah Geechee in the Charleston Lowcountry area reaching far inland for Preservation of the Culture and History of the Gullah Geechee.
